2010 Alderton-McMillin Class Reunion
RERUNS:  Reliving Your School Days

The 2010 event theme was television related as we reran some of student memories about their school days.  Their fellow students provided most of the memories.  We  added some of our own memories, including what television was like in its early years .

Actors performed a re-enactment of one of the favorite TV game shows, "What's My Line."  When the lunch bell rang. sack lunches were provided followed by a reunion cake from the Orting Bakery.  Then the annual reunion business meeting and to top it off, four beautiful door prize baskets were given away.  A raffle drawing for a ride in a fully restored 1930 Hupmobile.  Students and guests could get a photo taken inside a television screen at the reunion photo booth.

Turnout was quite low this year coupled with a forced last minute venue change that cost the reunion hundreds of dollars more has left the committee with less money than is needed to put on next years event.  But a positive and responsible minded group decided to proceed anyway and will be launching a campaign next March to recruit more attendees.  Ticket prices will need to be increased, but remain less than a movie and drink.  Attendees have great reviews from this year's event and we thank them for their continued support.

Mark your calendar for the next few years.  The Alderton/McMillin Schools Reunion will always be the third Saturday in June.  Starting this year all future reunions will be in the old McMillin School (now the McMillin Grange).
