ALDERTON-MCMILLIN COMMUNITY PLAN
FINAL DRAFT
INDEX PAGE

Overall Vision Statement

The residents of the Alderton-McMillin planning area envision a rural environment providing development opportunities that sustain open space.  We envision a landscape in which residents continue to experience tranquility through their surroundings.  We envision a local economy that is supported by economically viable activities and small-scale services.  The majority of residents travel to neighboring urban areas for employment and other services.  We envision a transportation and road network that supports the rural character, emergency services, and agricultural machinery.  We envision a community that is not burdened by traffic congestion from surrounding areas.  We envision the preservation of locally significant landmarks and community celebrations that connect residents and visitors to the area's pioneer heritage.
